Hi! I’m a word nerd who has spent the last decade leading UX writing teams at Figma and Dropbox, and teaching classes through Stanford’s continuing studies program. Before that, I founded National Novel Writing Month, running it for many wonderfully overcaffeinated years.
I’m currently working on a novel about an assistant librarian trying to return a DVD in post-apocalyptic Canada. I’m also the author of No Plot? No Problem! and the co-author of Ready, Set, Novel. I live in Alameda, California with my wife, son, and mutinous army of houseplants.
